My Story

I FEEL LUCKY TO SAY I HAVE FOUND THREE PASSIONS IN MY LIFE…

I am making all of them part of my career. Teaching, Healing and Massage. I have always been fascinated by the mind and body connection. For years after my third child was born, I struggled with anxiety and depression that came with postpartum and trying to keep up with the farm life and teaching career. After building 2 houses with my husband and children, running a permaculture farm and teaching highschool for years, I was burned out. I have always lived on a farm, grew my own food and was passionate about a healthy, active lifestyle, cooking, and self-care. I sat with the burning question of where I was going to take my passion for health and how I was going to turn it into a career I really wanted. I decided to go back to massage, something I have done since I was19 years old when my twin sister graduated as a registered massage therapist and started me on this journey. I studied ChineseMassage, Structural Massage, Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, advancing my strokes and techniques. I practiced on my family and friends, and was ignited with a whole new passion (massage), an extensive support system, and most importantly, the knowledge that I have a true talent.

I noticed that Swedish/relaxing massage helped my pain more than anything else. I attribute the pain relief to feeling cared for by another human, and the power of down-regulating my nervous system so much that I was able to start healing. Flash forward a couple more years and I started receiving structural bodywork to help align my posture to take pressure off of my joints, tendons and muscles. I received this bodywork for a little over a year and let me tell you, that pretty much did it for me. I am almost fully back to where I was before children.

I believe in the power of relaxation massage and caring/providing a healthy touch to all. I also believe in the power of structural bodywork and its ability to take people out of pain. I am dedicated to continuing to study techniques and improve my skills so I can be the best relief and help to others.
